If you’re anything like me, you’re constantly in search for the “perfect” legging that stay put, hugs in all the right places, and has proper storage. What if I told you, I have found the perfect pair!

Lululemon does many things right with their clothing. They provide the highest quality while offering comfort and function, all at once. That’s a hard thing to do. Their Fast and Free line is quite possibly my all time favorite run legging/capri/short.

“Wait, they offer more than just leggings?”

Yep, come with me on this runners dream journey as I dissect the BEST pair of run leggings on the market!

The lululemon Fast and Free leggings have been around since 1998, but admittedly, I didn’t discover them until maybe 5 or 6 years ago. They have definitely evolved over the years, but every pair I’ve ever owned have been my favorite, and here’s why:

1. They have this weightless material about them that can almost make you feel like you’re not wearing anything at all.
2. On the other hand, they offer some compression that makes you second guess my first point. Just trust me.
3. They don’t budge at all when you run. And I mean it. The compression around the waste is something to be noted and can save any long run from turning into a nightmare. These leggings just DON’T move. You can put as MUCH as you want in the pockets and they’ll stay put, I promise!
4. That brings me to my next point: the storage on these pants are AMAZING! There are 2 very deep side pockets and 3 pockets around the waistband. I can easily pack all of my nutrition for a 20 mile long run (including my phone and keys) and have plenty of room!
5. Are you ready for the next best part? They are available in multiple lengths, including shorts! That’s right, you can get these in 23″ 25″ and 28″ leggings as well as 6″ shorts! Don’t tell my husband, but I have them in multiple lengths and colors.
6. The final perk that is the ABSOLUTE best feature for any runner that refuses to become a prisoner to the treadmill in the dead of winter is that these leggings are also offered LINED IN FLEECE! That’s right, the Fast And Free Thermal legging offers all the same benefits but with a fleece lining that keeps you extra warm on those brisk negative windchill days.
