April Flood’s Go-To Stretch for Lower Back Pain Featured in Fit & Well
Looking for relief from lower back pain? April Flood recently shared her top stretching recommendation ‘the seated forward fold’ with Fit & Well readers. In the article, health writer Lou Mudge shares her personal experience with lower back discomfort, which she explains is largely caused by years of belly sleeping, leaving her with pain upon waking and struggling with a noticeable loss of spinal mobility.
At April’s suggestion, Lou began doing the seated forward fold each night before bed. “Stretching can help promote relaxation and activate your parasympathetic nervous system, making it easier to fall asleep,” April explains.
