Agility demands a lot from your dog and just as much from you! Dedicated handlers train hard, move fast, and compete often, yet their own performance health is frequently overlooked. This workshop is designed to change that.
This educational, movement-based workshop focuses on helping dog agility handlers care for their own bodies so they can train smarter, compete longer, and stay injury-free. Participants will learn why proper warm-ups, injury prevention strategies, and performance-focused body care are essential for handlers who want to stay strong, mobile, and confident in the ring.
The session includes a guided, handler-specific warm-up that can be easily integrated into training days and competition routines, along with practical education and open time for questions and discussion.
The workshop is led by April Flood, Physical Therapist at Smith Physical Therapy+, who specializes in working with active individuals and athletes. April brings a hands-on, practical approach and will share simple, effective strategies handlers can implement immediately to support long-term health and performance so you can keep showing up for your dog at your best. Because your dog’s performance depends on yours!
Date/Time: Saturday, January 17th at 9am
Location: Northwest Obedience Club, 110 W Woodstock Street, Suite 2A Crystal Lake
